Academy from 9 to 16 April 2023

From 9 to 16 April, the Saline royale Academy opens its doors to new talented musicians. You will have the opportunity to improve your skills with : Antti Siirala, piano teacher at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.

Academy from 2 to 9 April 2023

From 2 to 9 April 2023, the Saline royale Academy welcomes you for a new session of exceptional masterclasses. Come and progress in viola with Kim Kashkashian, in flute with Mathieu Dufour, in piano with Jean-Philippe Collard and in violin with Kristof Barati.

These prestigious masters are recognised for their quality as teachers and performers. They relay their passion, their professional experience, and their advice to help students reveal their talent.

Academy from 12 to 19 February 2023

Among the masters present during this exceptional week, from October 30 to November 6, 2022, you will have the opportunity to perfect your violin skills thanks to Alissa Margulis's masterclasses and your piano skills thanks to Aleksandar Madzar and your cello skills with Peter Bruns.

Academy from 5 to 12 February 2023 - Registrations closed

Among the masters present during this exceptional week, from February 5 to 12, 2023, you will have the opportunity to perfect your violin skills thanks to Dmitri Sitkovetsky's masterclasses, your cello skills thanks to Sung-won Yang's advice, your piano skills thanks to Hugh Tinney and your singing skill thanks to Antoine Palloc pianist and singing teacher.

Academy from 22 to 23 October 2022 - Registrations closed

The exceptional pianist Nelson Goerner will come from 22 to 23 October 2022 to give two days of high-level master classes.

Academy from 30 October to 6 November 2022 - Registrations closed

Among the masters present during this exceptional week, from October 30 to November 6, 2022, you will have the opportunity to perfect your viola skills thanks to Lars Anders Tomter's advice, and your piano skills thanks to Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and Jean-François Heisser.

Academy from 23 to 30 October 2022 - Registration closed

Among the masters present during this exceptional week, from October 23 to 30, 2022, you will have the opportunity to perfect your skills with: Ning Feng, violinist, Davide Formisiano, flutist and Dmitri Alexeev, pianist. These prestigious masters are recognized for their quality as teachers and performers. They relay their passion, their professional experience, and their advice to help students reveal their talent.

Academies from 11 to 16 April 2022 - Registration closed

Among the masters present during this exceptional week, from April 11 to 16, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills with : Gérard Poulet, famous violinist, Alexander Chaushian, great cellist, Jean-Paul Fouchécourt great singer, or Barry Douglas, renowned pianist. Recognized as much for their quality as performers as for their teaching skills, these prestigious masters pass on their musical careers with passion.

This new music academy week takes place from April 4 to 9, 2022. It consists of exceptional master classes given by talented masters Barnabás Kelemen for violin, Nathan Braude for viola and Günter Pichler for chamber music.

Academies from 30 March to 1 April 2022 - Registration closed

This exceptional musical academy will take place from March 30 to April 1, 2022. It consists of a piano master class proposed by Olivier Gardon.

Academies from 26 to 28 March 2022 - Registration closed

This exceptional musical academy will take place from March 26 to 28, 2022. It consists of a flute masterclass proposed by Philippe Bernold and a piano masterclass proposed by Michel Béroff.

Academies from 21 to 23 February 2022 - Registration closed

This exceptional musical academy will take place from February 21 to 23, 2022. It will consist of a piano master class given by Collins Finghin and a violin master class given by Olivier Charlier.

Academies from 13 to 20 February 2022 - Registration closed

This ninth academy consists of classes for violin, cello, piano, oboe and voice. It is supervised by the greatest international teachers of classical and baroque music.

Academies from 6 to 13 February 2022 - Registration closed

This eighth academy consists of violin, cello, piano and chamber music classes. It is taught by the greatest international teachers of classical and baroque music.

Academy from 2 to 9 April 2023

From 2 to 9 April 2023, the Saline royale Academy welcomes you for a new session of exceptional masterclasses. Come and progress in viola with Kim Kashkashian, in flute with Mathieu Dufour, in piano with Jean-Philippe Collard and in violin with Kristof Barati.

This academy is aimed at student musicians and singers from music schools (HEMU, Guildhall, CNSM, etc.) or instrumentalists at the beginning of their career.

In order to help students participate in our academies, scholarships will be available. These will be requested at the time of registration and will be awarded according to criteria such as the student's background, project or motivation.


Three types of events will mainly punctuate the weeks of our academics. 

  • Daily and individual classes allowing them to learn every day from our teachers. These classical music classes are given in dedicated rooms, all equipped with piano. Students can be accompanied by a pianist if they wish.
  • Concerts are held every evening, allowing students to perform in front of an audience if they wish.
  • Two concerts, one for the academicians and one for the teachers, are organized at the end of each academy. Open to the public, they offer students a new opportunity to test themselves and prepare for future performances.

During the academy, students can stay at the Saline Royale's *** hotel and can eat on site thanks to our catering system. Allergies and diets are taken into account in order to adapt to everyone.

Programme of the week

  • The reception of the students by the Saline royale Académie team and the teachers takes place on Sunday late afternoon.
  • Classes take place from Monday morning to Friday afternoon and student concerts from Tuesday to Friday.
  • The end-of-term concerts (students and teachers) and the graduation ceremony are held on Saturday during the day.
  • The students’ departure is scheduled for Sunday during the day.

Our accompanying pianists

Present throughout the academies, the accompanying pianists are recruited for their technique, their knowledge of the repertoires selected by the students and their experience. They accompany the classes, but also the recorded masterclasses, auditions and end-of-academy concerts.
